Discover Nobel Week Lights 2025

From December 6 to 14, 2025, Stockholm will transform into a living art installation as Nobel Week Lights takes over the city. This annual light festival, organized by the Nobel Prize Museum, celebrates scientific breakthroughs, literary achievements, and peace efforts through spectacular light artworks.

Guests at Villa Dagmar are within easy reach of many of the festival’s highlights. Take an evening stroll through Gamla Stan or Kungsträdgården and experience the dazzling light installations firsthand.

Leading Lights – Stockholm Stadshus
A tribute to female Nobel laureates throughout history, guided by Marie Curie. The work highlights their groundbreaking discoveries and remarkable achievements.

Hope – Gustav Adolfs torg
A light installation featuring a quote from Malala Yousafzai: “Let this be the last time that a child loses life in war.” The piece is a powerful reminder of the importance of education and peace.

Wave-field – Kungsträdgården
Illuminated seesaws create sound and movement in this interactive installation, inspired by Nobel laureates in physics.
