THOMAS SANDELL AT VILLA DAGMAR - COLOR DRAWINGS AND ACRYLICS INSPIRED BY NATURE

Starting October 24, Villa Dagmar invites guests to a small, personal exhibition featuring color drawings and acrylics by architect Thomas Sandell. Known for his iconic buildings and design projects, Sandell here reveals another side of his creativity, a quieter, more contemplative gaze toward nature.

The motifs are drawn from his own impressions of the Stockholm archipelago and the Swedish mountains, where light, lines, colors, and landscapes meet in simple, poetic expressions. The works carry traces of the same precision and balance as his architecture, but with a more intuitive and playful touch.

“I often draw without any particular purpose or clearly defined endpoint – more as a meditative craft, where I repeat lines over and over until they slowly grow into images.”

The exhibition will be on display at Villa Dagmar from October 24 and is open to anyone who wishes to pause for a moment and find inspiration.

The works will be shown in the reception and lobby during fall/winter 2025.
