This production is a comedy originally by William Shakespeare, now brought to life on Dramaten’s main stage in a modern, dynamic interpretation by director Farnaz Arbabi. While The Taming of the Shrew has historically been controversial for its portrayal of gender and power dynamics, this production at Dramaten aims to spark conversation and new perspectives rather than present the traditional version unaltered. It invites reflection on how love, identity, power, and societal roles are negotiated – both in Shakespeare’s time and today

Das Kapital – A Dance‑Theatre Interpretational, Dramaten  3/1 – 28/2
Das Kapital is a dance‑theatre performance inspired by Karl Marx’s seminal work Das Kapital, but reimagined for the stage as a physical and expressive interpretation of capitalism and everyday life in the modern world. Rather than a traditional lecture or adaptation of the book, this production uses movement, choreography, and theatrical expression to explore the ideas of labour, value, society and how capitalist systems shape our lives.
